The art of JJ Steeves lives here.

I made this tank top today by looking at another, similar dress I had made a few summers ago, and pulling some serious trial & error. The fabric is repurposed from two skirts I had every intention of wearing, but just never did. That is, generally, the story of my closet. Anything I don’t wear for six months gets made into something else, or tossed onto a friend’s living room floor for a clothing swap. Handmade! It’s good for everyone!jei

Oh my gracious. Some people are so brilliantly talented. Etsy seller larimeloom made this dress, and you can find it here. (I wish I could make dresses and sell them for 200 quid!)

Ummm, all the models in my Victoria’s Secrets catalogue look strikingly identical. That’s pretty pathetic. Whatever happened to innovation?

I agree. I think they should have more natural and different looking models because sometimes its hard to tell if that bra or intimate apparel will fit women with curves, if that makes any sense.

Oh TOTALLY. You’re damned lucky if you can find one single non-push-up-bra-sporting model amongst all the pages. And then they all pose the same, they all wear the same makeup, they all wear their hair the same way, and they all have the same body type: tall, lean, large breasts (though most of the breasts are photoshopped, sadly). Apparently, real women don’t belong in catalogues. Hey! Fashion photographers! Show some respect and bring out the real ladies. And keep in mind, there are lots of different ways for a woman to look sexy: holding teddies and wearing pink/purple/red is not the only erotic idea out there. Geeez.
