When One Half Of You Is Living The Dream
I spent this morning working on a paper in a local cafe. While there, an old Snow Patrol song came on the satellite radio. Suddenly I could smell the old apartment my twin and I shared in Edinburgh, Scotland. I could feel the grungy old carpet under my bare feet, and the ratty sheets around my shoulders. I could hear the bus brakes far below us, and I could smell the coffee freshly made in my very first coffee maker courtesy of Adam. I could even taste the Hawaiian granola we would buy from the Sommerfield’s down the road.
Because we were both working 16 hour days, 6 days a week, Adam and I held our Saturday mornings with BBC T4 in awfully high regard. The first time we watched the Snow Patrol music video for Run our hearts were broken and mended in one fell swoop. We were having a hard time on many levels, and suddenly, everything was just right, bundled up tight. Love you twin. Miss you to the moon and back. See you in Hawaii some day soon.
