Tattoos That I Will Be Getting in 2011:
I design/draw all my own tattoos, and thus the following will also be done in such a way. I’m hoping that while I get these tattoos, I’ll be able to ask questions and learn some tips and tricks to working my own tattoo kit (which is traveling toward me as we speak!). I feel awfully lucky that this year I’ll be able to refer to getting inked as ‘research’. BOOYA.
- a crow
- a mason jar single line drawing
- a chickadee
- a chest piece of mint leaves (grown here on The Farm)
- a blind contour drawing
- very likely some kind of astronaut cat. Yes, I know this is slightly ridiculous. Just leave me to it.
- a horse — specifically a black percheron, after our old workhorse Thomas.
- a single line octagon, imperfect.
I’m sure I will come up with more, but so far I’m fairly certain the above will cost more than I can afford in one year, so I’ll try and only design new tattoos for others. That being said, I do love getting inked, so who knows?
