The art of JJ Steeves lives here.

Blueprint’s trailer for MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE COLOUR BLUE

This company made my all-time favourite skateboard video, Lost & Found, which was released back in 2005. (Click on the link and you will be directed to a copy of the film in its entirety on GoogleVideo, where it was uploaded by the fellas five whole years ago. Because they’re great like that).

Lost & Found has been, I would guess, one of the largest aesthetic influences in my life since I was introduced to it by Julien Strasfeld (like all things skateboard-related) about four years ago. Unfortunately for him, I’ve not been able to stop talking about the darn thing ever since. What exacerbates the scenario for Julien is that he’s my only skateboard buddy, and thus the only one who will listen to me wax lyrical about the variety of sounds acrylic wheels make on stone/pavement/brick/tar/gravel/etc.

ANYWAY, the fellas at Blueprint popped out Lost & Found to the public, and then next day they hit the streets to start filming for their next release, Make Friends With The Colour Blue, which just came out in 2010. This is the trailer. All you skaters out there have already seen it, it’s the art farts whose eyes I want to grab with this blurb.

(PS. If you only feel up to a few clips, the triumphant return of Paul Shier, Danny Brady & Colin Kennedy are all delicious in their own right.)

(PPS. No one eats it quite like Dave Mackey)
