The art of JJ Steeves lives here.

I don’t feel like drawing anything demanding on my tablet today, as I’m short for time. Cats are a natural  go-to for a warm-up/doodle. I’m really wishy-washy about colour, still. No surprise there. I have a penchant for pastel shades, so as soon as I drop a dollop of anything onto my page, it automatically looks like a feminine illustration. Now, I’m not looking to catch any flack over this (though I’m sure I will, regardless), I just don’t want my art style to be particularly feminine. I’ve no problem when other people have/manipulate a style like that, but personally, it’s just not my thing.
I have a sneaking suspicion that my feeble attempts to play with digital colour are coming to a brutal end. Lately I’ve been craving my sketchbook and bristol paper again. I don’t like how often my pens run out of ink, but it sure as shit beats churning out pictures like the above every frigging day.
