The art of JJ Steeves lives here.

Normally I keep all of my old sketchbooks in one box, tucked far in the back of a closet or shelving unit. While perusing my bookshelves this afternoon for something to re-read, I discovered that at some random moment in the past I thought it was wise to put my first sketchbook from art school in with all the books people could just pull out and peruse — SUCH a terrible idea. That being said, me finding it today was quite a trip down memory lane. I honestly hadn’t recalled the images I drew, nor did I realize how early I was enjoying the combination of words with illustration.
Also, even in 2006 I was a shitty tagger with no cultivated, individual style. Thank heavens 5 years have passed.
